PHD Research - Georgina Clegg

Recently, TFAG were pleased to receive an email from Georgina Clegg, a PHD research student, studying at the University of Huddersfield.

Georgina is finalising her research into the role of Flood Groups / Flood Wardens in the Community.

In particular, Georgina is examining the actions that Flood Groups / Flood Wardens perform, in relation to flood warning and what supports or inhibits these actions and the resultant impact on the local community. Georgina identified TFAG from a Google search and she has also been in communication with flood groups in Lancashire and Nottinghamshire.

We have been delighted to tell her all about our Group, since its inception in 2017. She seemed very interested in our Community Resilience plan. Georgina is studying part-time and hopes to complete her dissertation in 2024. We wish her well in the completion of her research and were pleased to have played a role in her studies. We look forward to reading her dissertation.".
